The Intel® Teach Program offers proven professional development supporting 21st Century skills. Intel Teach promotes standards-aligned, project-based approaches to learning. Courses help teachers transform instruction to engage students in deeply relevant ways with appropriate use of technology, Web 2.0, and social networking for learning, creativity, and communication. Teachers engage students in multiple forms of assessment for learning throughout units of instruction. Students transfer and apply knowledge and skills through critical thinking, problem solving, and collaboration, demonstrating proficiency through performances. The Intel® Teach Program is the largest, most successful professional development program of its kind.
The In-Service Program, available to K-12 teachers and leaders, consists of four Intel® Teach Course offerings:
- In the Essentials Course, K-12 teachers gain a foundation of skills to fully integrate technology, ongoing assessment, and student-centered learning.
- In the Essentials Online Course, K-12 teachers complete face-to-face and convenient online activities to integrate technology into existing curricula and promote 21st century skills.
- In the modular Thinking with Technology Course, K-12 teachers use free online tools with their students to enhance higher-order thinking skills.
- In the 4-hour interactive Leadership Forum, K-12 instructional leaders examine their role in promoting, supporting, and modeling technology integration in their schools.
