"In the legend
of the Singing River, it is believed
that the Pascagoula Indians marched
into the river singing as they drowned
so they wouldn't be captured by an invading
tribe. I've heard it five different
times and its something that is different.
It may be a legend, but the sound is
actually there. This is no lying about
that part of it. It's there. It sounds
something similar to ..."ohhhh...ahhhh..ohhh."
