Cruise the Mississippi on Mississippi Public Broadcasting |

( Jackson , Miss.) - Watch Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) to catch the sites along the Mississippi River on Cruising America's Waterways , a three part series beginning Thursday, July 20 th , at 8:00 p.m. Aboard a paddle wheeler, Cruising America's Waterways visits sites from Memphis to New Orleans . Part One includes attractions in Memphis and Vicksburg . Among them are Graceland and the National Civil Rights Museum in Memphis . Following at 8:30 p.m., Part Two continues cruising down the Mississippi with stops in Natchez , Miss. ; Francisville , La. , home of Angola state prison; and Baton Rouge , Louisiana 's capital. The cruise concludes on Thursday, July 27 th , at 8:00 p.m., with stops at two Louisiana plantations before winding up in New Orleans with a tour of the city's port, Lake Ponchatrain , and the French Quarter.
