MPB airs popular Upstairs Downstairs series
( Jackson , Miss.) - Beginning Saturday, August 26 th at 9:00 p.m., Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) will air a series of episodes from the first season of the popular British program Upstairs Downstairs.
Upstairs Downstairs , winner of nine Emmy Awards, is the true essence of magnificent drama. Set in 1904, it portrays not only the sumptuous lives led by the Ballamy family but also those of the servants who live "downstairs."
Portions of these episodes are in black and white due to a technician's strike at the time of original production.
