| Curious George premieres Labor Day on MPB | |
( Jackson , Miss.) - It's time to monkey around with Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) by watching the antics of Curious George , the new PBS children's series premiering Labor Day, Monday, September 4 th at 7:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Curious George is about a little monkey with an insatiable curiosity who loves to find new things to discover, touch, and spill. The new daily series expands George's world to include a host of colorful new characters and original locales, while maintaining the charm of the literary classic by Margret and H.A. Rey. Curious George inspires children to explore science, math, and engineering in the world around them. Each of the 30 half-hour episodes, narrated by Emmy Award-winning actor William H. Macy ( Seabiscuit , Pleasantville ), includes two animated stories followed by short live-action pieces showing real kids who are investigating the ideas that George introduces in his stories.
