( Jackson , Miss.) -Woman to Woman , hosted by former Mississippi First Lady Pat Fordice and Dr. Juanita Sims Doty, premieres Sunday afternoon, August 27 th , at 2:00 on Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) television.
"Juanita Sims Doty and Pat Fordice will explore themes that women of all ages care about," said Kathryn Rodenmeyer, the show's producer. "These topics range from health, business, the arts, and entertainment. Juanita and Pat have good chemistry as co-hosts, and they have a lot of fun together . I think the program will reflect their respect for one another, as well as their respect for the women of Mississippi ."
Woman to Woman is an 18-program series. The first nine programs will contain interviews from past shows. Nine additional programs are being produced with a studio-based, interview format, including two interviews per program.
"I am excited about the move to our new home at Mississippi Public Broadcasting and the ability to reach more people throughout the state with, what I think, are important messages to the women of Mississippi and, as we say on the show, a few good men," commented Fordice.
When asked about MPB's producing and airing Woman to Woman , Doty echoed Fordice's enthusiasm and added, "All at MPB have been wonderful and most supportive as we work to present a show that provides helpful information and shares varying views to make us stronger individually and as a society.
