Watch Eyes on the Prize on MPB Television

( Jackson , Miss.) - Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) television airs Eyes on the Prize, the groundbreaking series examining America 's civil rights years, each Monday on October 2 nd , 9 th and 16 th at 8:00 p.m.

The three two-hour episodes of this landmark documentary cover the period from the 1954 Montgomery Bus Boycott to the Voting Rights Act of 1965.

Through interviews and historical footage, Eyes on the Prize tells the stories of strength, courage and spirit of those who participated in the struggle for racial equality.

Eyes on the Prize has received numerous Emmy Awards, a George Foster Peabody Award, an International Documentary Award and a Television Critics Association Award.

Originally broadcast in 1987, this will be the first rebroadcast since 1993.
