BETWEEN THE LIONS

at Chick-fil-A in Flowood, Feb. 13

( Jackson , Miss.) - Mississippi Public Broadcasting and Chick-fil-A of Dogwood Festival Market invite kids to come see Between the Lions LIVE at Chick-fil-A in Flowood on Tuesday, February 13, at 6:00 p.m.

Between the Lions is an Emmy Award-winning PBS Kids' series produced by WGBH Boston, Sirius Thinking, Ltd. and Mississippi Public Broadcasting.

"The Lions" and Chris Cerf, co-creator of Between the Lions and co-founder of Sirius Thinking, are looking forward to Tuesday night. "Hearing and seeing the reactions of children is one of the most rewarding aspects of performing live. We always look forward to coming to Mississippi for production, but it's 'icing on the cake' when our lion characters are able to do a performance out in the community."

According to MPB Community Outreach Coordinator Kathy Broom , "With seasons seven and eight (20 episodes) of Between the Lions in production this month at our studios in Jackson , this is perfect timing for this event. It is also an example of Chick-fil-A's dynamic support of 'the Lions' and their partnership with MPB. We appreciate all they do throughout the year to help promote the fun of reading."

Tara Hayes, marketing director for Chick-fil-A, Dogwood Festival Market, says, "We're thrilled to host Between the Lions for this Tuesday's Family Night and anticipate a fun-filled evening." Hayes added, "Chick-fil-A is committed both at a national level as a corporate sponsor of Between the Lions and at the grassroots level with our library reading program and restaurant's activities centered on 'the Lions' and MPB. "

Hayes, Broom and Cerf expressed their thanks to the City of Flowood and Mississippi Music for helping to bring 'the Lions' to the community.

Between the Lions airs weekdays at 12:30 on MPB television. To learn more, visit www.mpbonline.org .
