Mississippi Public Broadcasting News earns top AP Awards in Radio |

(Jackson, Miss.)- Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB) was honored with six awards in the state’s radio division at the annual Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters Association's awards ceremony in Jackson, Miss. The awards included:
Best Feature Story First Place: “Mississippi Man Becomes White House Artist” Reporter: Ron Brown
Best News Story First Place: “Emmett Till Apology” Reporter: Sandra Knispel Second Place: “Illegal Dog Fighting” Reporter: Lawayne Childrey Best Documentary First Place: “A Delta Education” Reporter: Sandra Knispel Second Place: “Teen Suicide” Reporter: Patty Davis
Best Public Affairs Reporting First Place: “Foreclosure” Reporter: Sandra Knispel
MPB Executive Director Marie Antoon stated, "This is a wonderful honor for our news and public affairs staff and is a great recognition for our organization as a whole. These prestigious awards exemplify the dedication of our staff to continue public radio's commitment to public service.
