MPB’s “Don’t Lecture Me” offers unique interview format |
|
(Jackson, Miss.) - Click it and watch it; it’s as simple as that. Visit www.mpbonline.org and click on “Don’t Lecture Me” to watch episodes of a new media on-demand web-based series produced by Mississippi Public Broadcasting (MPB).
Shot on location,“Don’t Lecture Me” features interviews with persons of interest – authors, artists, ambassadors and more – in concise one-on-one conversations.
Through the MPB online interviews, those traveling and living in Mississippi share their opinions, concerns, ideas and themselves in a casual, unintimidating environment to provide those watching a glimpse into their world.
According to Rick Klein, the show’s executive producer, “’Don’t Lecture Me’ differs from a television production in that it brings a fresh, minimalistic approach with one camera, one light, and two microphones – a style perfectly suited for the Internet. In other words, the world moves and so should the camera.”
Some of the ten-minute interviews include Joseph O’Conner, an Irishman writing about post Civil War America; Minister Egon Kochanke, talking about the relevance of the G8 Presidency (G-8 Summit) in a troubled economy; and Josh Hailey, discussing his survival as an independent artist.
Variety is limitless when it comes to topics and the interviewers’ styles.
