Community Champion: David Broadaway

David Broadaway, a resident of Brandon, Mississippi, currently oversees the AVP Business and Specialized Lending Department with Members Exchange Credit Union.  Mr. Broadaway has over 20 years of banking experience. He is responsible for providing services and lending opportunities to businesses across the state, while also implementing scholarship awards to schools located in the Metro area.  His greatest reward is to assist at-risk students.  He wants all students to not only graduate from high school but to receive a post-secondary education.  Mr. Broadaway contributes his major accomplishments and success with working for such a reputable organization.  “Members Exchange Credit Union has afforded me the opportunity to give back to my community”, states Mr. Broadaway.  In the last three years, Members Exchange Credit Union has given thousands to students that were on the verge of failing and not reaching academic success.  Through community services initiatives and partnership opportunities, Mr. Broadaway has been able to reach hundreds of students.  

Mr. Broadaway is a graduate of Mississippi College.  He is married and has three sons.  He stated that parenting has been a blessing however, it has not been easy.  Based on struggles he experienced as a father, he has great compassion for children.  He is committed to being an asset in his community and making a difference in the lives of others.  Currently, Mr. Broadaway serves as a Board Member for the Rankin County Chamber of Commerce.  He is a Diplomat with the City of Ridgeland Chamber of Commerce and an Ambassador with the City of Jackson and Rankin County Chamber.  When asked, how can you manage to make time for all of these community service activities, he said, “I do it for the kids”.  “Working for such an awesome company, Members Exchange Credit Union, allows me to give on a grander scale”, said Mr. Broadaway.
