Mississippi Public Broadcasting is seeking to hire four (4) facilitators to provide technical assistance in multiple childcare center classrooms throughout the state utilizing the Between the Lions Preschool Literacy Curriculum (October 2017-April 2018). The candidates will be required to travel to the childcare centers using their personal vehicles. Interested candidates should submit a detailed plan on how to specifically utilize the Between the Lions Preschool Literacy curriculum in a preschool classroom. The plan should include how you utilize lesson plans with this curriculum, the importance of classroom arrangement, classroom management techniques and tracking and reporting child outcomes. Candidates must have a (1) proven track record working with children and early childhood professionals within childcare centers/elementary schools with Pre-K classrooms, (2) minimum of 3 years experience working in Early Childhood and specifically within childcare classroom settings, and a (4) proven track record in building rapport with the classroom teacher/childcare center directors they have worked with.
Candidate must participate in a 1-day, Between the Lions workshop for childcare center teachers/directors on October 5, 2017, incorporate the Between the Lions curriculum in the participating classrooms, submit weekly/biweekly reports, provide a minimum of thirty (30) hours and a maximum of sixty (60) hours of technical assistance in participating classrooms, assist sponsoring rotary club(s) with planning and hosting an activity or party/community event based on the curriculum being studied or the letter/word being discussed in the classroom.
