Last week’s after school program focused on introducing 2nd and 3rd graders to some of the basic instruments and equipment used by scientists. Activities for the day included viewing Martha Speaks: How to be an Inventor, reading a book entitled “The Blind Men and the Elephant”, completing a hands-on science experiment to make elephant toothpaste, and playing the game ‘Robo Rebuild’ found on the PBS KIDS® Lab website. This project is funded by a Ready To Learn grant provided by the Department of Education to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
