Mark Coblentz returns for season 2 of Making A Chef

Starkville teen Mark Coblentz returns for a second season of Making A Chef in the season premiere at 1 p.m. Saturday, June 15 on MPB Television. The episode repeats at 10 a.m. Sunday, June 16.

In the first episode, Mark learns all about coffee. Where it comes from and how it is prepared. And how do you really make a good cup of Joe? Mark visits with local coffee shop 929 and award-winning roaster Umble Coffee to get the lowdown. In the second episode, Mark discovers how to make some delicious dishes with roasted beans, espresso and ground coffee.

During season two, Mark will visit the Mississippi Arts and Entertainment Experience in Meridian, Boys and Girls Club of Columbus and the Culinary School at Mississippi University for Women. He also attends the Mississippi Food Network Moonlight fundraiser in Jackson along with famed chef Nick Wallace. This season Mark will share tips on using an Instant Pot, the trick to making chocolate croissants and give kids ideas on making a one-pot meal.
