On the next edition of Mississippi Roads, we’ll talk about recycling, and repurposing efforts going on around the state. We’ll take a look around the Midtown area of Jackson, a neighborhood that’s getting a makeover thanks to artists and community visionaries. We’ll tour the Nucor Corporation in Flowood, a company that takes the idea of recycling to a whole new level. The Scoggins family shows us around their woodworking operation in Sandersville, where they transform tree stumps into beautiful pieces of sculpture. Then we’ll see how owners are breathing new life into an old Clarksdale favorite, The New Roxy Theatre.
