With Tuesday’s mid-term elections finally upon us, state party leaders open up to MPB News about their hopes for tomorrow’s contests. Following a contentious primary and the subsequent runoff, all eyes are focused on the Senate race between the incumbent, Republican Thad Cochran, and his challenger, Democrat Travis Childers. Each of the state’s four US Representatives is also up for reelection as well.

When it comes to tornadoes in Mississippi, November is the second-most active month of the year – making it the most active month of the Fall for severe weather. Mississippi Emergency Management Agency spokesman Greg Flynn spoke with MPB’s Paul Boger following MEMA’s Fall Preparedness Week. He says there are plenty of reasons for Mississippians to be aware as the weather turns colder.
