A new report says the State of Mississippi is leaving behind thousands of jobs and millions of dollars, all because of not expanding Medicaid as part of the Affordable Care Act. Roy Mitchell is Executive Director of the Mississippi Health Advocacy Program - the organization behind the report released today. He spoke with us about Mississippi's healthcare economy.
The body of Former South African President Nelson Mandela is now lying in state as that country prepares to lay him to rest this weekend. Almost 20 years ago, Mississippi's 2nd District Congressman Bennie Thompson was in South Africa to attend the now-late President's inauguration.
