Each spring, MPB is proud to host the MPB Kids Club Writers Contest for children in grades K-5. Hundreds of students enter the contest each year with original stories, illustrations and ideas.

Through the Between the Lions Preschool Literacy Initiative, MPB provides resources, expertise, and encouragement to child care centers in the Jackson area to promote literacy in children with the help of its partners.
