JOB DUTIES
INCLUDE
Mississippi Public Broadcasting, an 8 station state-wide network with over 1 million weekly listeners, is seeking a Host/Producer. Duties include anchoring local segments of NPR news programs, local talk shows, editing, and announcing newscasts. MPB Radio is part of an evolving multi-platform media organization. The Host/Producer will concentrate on local news content for MPB Radio but will work with creative people in other media as well.
MINIMUM
REQUIREMENTS
A Master’s Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Radio/Television/Film or a directly related field (AND) two (2) years of experience in work directly related to the above-described duties; (OR) A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Radio/Television/Film or a directly related field (AND) three (3) years of experience in work directly related to the above-described duties; (OR) Graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED), (AND) seven (7) years of experience in work directly related to the above-described duties; (OR) Above graduation from a standard four-year high school or equivalent (GED), directly related education and directly related experience may be substituted on an equal basis. This position is classified as State Service, Exempt.
