Job Hunter
MPB’s Job Hunter is back for a brand-new second season beginning February 7, 2013!
Mississippi houses some of the world’s most respected industries. From engineering and manufacturing to medicine and I.T., many opportunities exist for “job hunters” across the state.
As the only show of its kind in Mississippi, Job Hunter introduces viewers to the jobs available right here at home. The series features interviews with CEOs, directors and workers at high profile companies around the state.
Viewers can also learn where they can acquire the skills they need to be competitive in these job markets. Courtney visits community colleges and universities that have programs for students interested in the jobs that are featured each week.
Job Hunteris made possible in part by funding from the state of Mississippi, the Mississippi Manufacturers Association’s (MMA) “Dream It. Do It.” campaign, and the Mississippi Department of Employment Security.

Dream It. Do It. Mississippi
Dream It. Do It. Mississippi (DiDi) is sponsored by the Mississippi Manufacturers Association (MMA). The program focuses on creating awareness among students and young adults, and those who influence their career decisions regarding the outstanding opportunities that exist in advanced manufacturing today. The program also provides referral systems for them to pursue their dreams and ambitions. It is designed to help fill skilled local manufacturing job vacancies and to assist in making manufacturing a preferred career option. DiDi is funded by a grant from the Mississippi Department of Employment Security, Governor Haley Barbour, and the U.S. Department of Labor. DiDi is a program of the National Association of Manufacturers Manufacturing Institute.
