Ryanne Duffie Saucier is the Deputy Executive Director for Support Services and Contracts. She administers all contracts and licensing on behalf of the Agency and oversees the Technical Services and Information Technology divisions. Ryanne hails from Southeast Alabama and has worked in the entertainment industry for over 15 years in the areas of artist management, radio programming, concert planning, artist promotion and film production. Prior to joining MPB, she practiced entertainment law working with musicians, writers, filmmakers, and broadcasters in the areas of music licensing, music publishing as well as copyright, trademark and media law. In 2011, Ryanne was published by the American Bar Association in the book Entertainment Law for the General Practitioner. The contribution made Ryanne one of the youngest attorneys published by the American Bar Association on the topic of entertainment law.
A Birmingham-Southern College and cum laude graduate from Mississippi College School of Law, she was selected by her law school professors as the Most Valuable Entertainment Person of the Year. She also received the American Jurisprudence Award for the class focusing on the law surrounding Trademarks and Unfair Competition. Ryanne is an associate member of The National Association of Recording Arts and Sciences - Memphis Chapter and serves as an Executive Board Member for the Intellectual Property section of the Mississippi Bar. Recently, she was selected by Portico Jackson magazine as one of the Top 10 Rising Lawyers to watch in 2014. She lectures regularly in the areas of trademark law, copyright law and entertainment law. When she's not talking about intellectual property law, you can find her hanging out with her two favorite people - husband Dan and their shih tzu rescue Belle.
