Participants in this free contest will enter for a chance to win, via random drawing, two Diamond-level VIP tickets to see Carrie Underwood’s Cry Pretty Tour 360 on October 23, 2019 at the FedExForum in Memphis, Tennessee.
The contest begins on August 1, 2019 and will run until October 6, 2019. Entrants can enter online anytime via the online entry form. A drawing will be held October 7, 2019.
Each entrant can submit only one entry, and each submission will be included in the contest entrant pool.
The contest is FREE to enter. No purchase or entry fee necessary to enter or win. By entering the contest, participants will be signed up to receive the weekly e-newsletter Fine Tuning and other informative communications from MPB and MPB Foundation. Participants may opt out of receiving such communications at any time.
MPB and MPB Foundation will serve as the Administrator of the contest and will resolve any disputes that arise regarding violations of the rules. All federal, state, and local regulations apply.
To be eligible to participate in the contest, you must be: (a) a resident of the United States; (b) at least age 21 or over on the date prize is awarded. You must supply your first name, last name, address, telephone number, and email address to be eligible to enter. Employees of Mississippi Public Broadcasting, MPB Foundation, and members of the immediate family or household of each are not eligible to win. “Immediate family or household” is defined as a parent, sibling or any person residing in the same household as an employee. This contest is void where prohibited by law. Such excluded persons may enter, but WILL NOT be eligible to win.
Contest will end October 6, 2019. One winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about October 7, 2019. Decisions are final. Prize is not transferable or redeemable for cash. No costs associated with travel, lodging, or any such related expenses are included in the Prize. Taxes, if any, are the winner’s responsibility. The drawing will be conducted by MPB and MPB Foundation.
Each participant agrees to release, discharge, indemnify and hold harmless MPB and MPB Foundation, and their respective director(s), officers, employees, representatives and agents (collectively, “Releases”) from any & all claims or liability in connection with participation in this promotion or acceptance or use of the Prize(s). Acceptance of the Prize(s) constitutes permission for Administrator and its designees to use the name, city and state, and likeness of the Prize Winner(s) for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation unless prohibited by law.
Prize will be awarded to the winner based on a random drawing among all entrants. The Prize winner will be notified by e-mail assuming participant provides accurate contact information when entering the contest. A prize not claimed by the winner(s) will result in the forfeiture of the prize. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible participants who enter.
By entering, each participant accepts and agrees to be bound by these rules and by the decisions of MPB and MPB Foundation, which shall be final and binding in all respects. Taxes, if any, are the sole responsibility of the Prize Winner(s). No substitution or transfer of a prize by Prize Winner is permitted. MPB and MPB Foundation reserve the right to substitute the Prize in the unlikely event that the advertised prize is unavailable.
POTENTIAL PRIZE WINNER IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY MPB and MPB FOUNDATION, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE CONTEST OR SWEEPSTAKES. The potential winner must continue to comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules and/or the Office Rules of the specific Contest, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. The potential winner will be notified by email and/or telephone call, after the date of random drawing. The potential winner may be required to sign and return to sponsor, within three (3) days of the date notice is sent, an affidavit of eligibility and a liability/publicity release (except where prohibited) in order to claim his/her prize, if applicable. A winner who returns the affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release within the required time period will be deemed to have accepted the prize and thereafter will not be permitted to rescind their acceptance of the prize and/or return the prize. If a potential winner cannot be contacted, fails to sign and return the affidavit of eligibility and/or the liability/publicity release within the required time period (if applicable), or if the prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, potential winner forfeits prize. In the event that the potential winner of a contest or sweepstakes prize is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor may award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries.
If the potential Prize Winner declines the Prize for any reason, the Prize may be awarded to an alternate Prize Winner.
Except where prohibited by law, the Prize Winner’s acceptance of the Prize constitutes permission for MPB and MPB Foundation to use Prize Winner’s name, photograph, likeness, statements, biographical information, voice, and address (city and state) worldwide and in all forms of media, in perpetuity, without further compensation. Participants agree to Administrator’s use of their names and likeness for advertising and publicity purposes, without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. All federal, state, local, and provincial laws and regulations apply.
MPB and MPB Foundation are not responsible for lost, late or misdirected online entries or transactions, for incorrect, inaccurate or incomplete entry information whether caused by a contestant, equipment, or technical malfunction or for any human error, technical error or malfunctions.
MPB and MPB Foundation are not responsible for typographical or other human or technical errors in the offer or administration of this contest, including but not limited to errors in advertising, the Official Rules, the selection and announcement of the Prize Winner(s) or the distribution of the Prize(s).
MPB and MPB Foundation, at their sole discretion, may disqualify any participant from participating in the contest, refuse to award Prize(s) if participant engages in any conduct deemed to be improper, unfair or otherwise adverse to the operation of the contest or detrimental to other participants. Such improper conduct includes, but is not limited to, falsifying personal information required during contest registration or Prize claim, violating any term or condition stated herein, accumulating entries or prizes through methods such as automated computer scripts or other programming techniques, allowing others to use the participant’s personal information for the purpose of accumulating entries or prizes, tampering with the administration of this promotion, or intentionally trying to defraud, reverse engineer, disassemble, decompile or otherwise tamper with the computer programs on any website associated with the promotion. Participant further acknowledges that the forfeiture of the Prize and/or return of any part of the prize shall in no way prevent MPB and MPB Foundation from pursuing other avenues of recourse such as criminal or civil proceedings in connection with such conduct.
MPB and MPB Foundation reserve the right to modify these rules for clarification purposes without materially affecting the terms and conditions of the contest. This contest is randomized and intended solely to raise awareness of MPB and MPB Foundation.
MPB and MPB Foundation, and their employees, director, representatives and agents, assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries or transactions, are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail entry or transaction to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in this contest.
In the event of a dispute, entries will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at time of entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted e-mail address.
Any entry that is incomplete, late, or does not fully comply with these terms and agreements will be subject to disqualification.
In the event the contest is challenged by any legal or regulatory authority, MPB and MPB Foundation reserve the right to discontinue or modify the contest, or to disqualify participants residing in the affected geographic areas. In such event, neither MPB nor MPB Foundation shall have any liability to any participants who are disqualified due to such an action.
Each participant in the contest, including, without limitation, the prize winner(s), hereby releases and agrees to hold MPB and MPB Foundation, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies and their respective director, officers, employees, representatives and agents from any and all liability for any injuries, loss or damage of any kind to person, including death, and property, arising in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use or misuse of the Prize, participation in this contest, and participation in any activity related to this contest.
THESE TERMS AND AGREEMENTS AND OFFICIAL RULES AND THE INTERPRETATION OF ITS TERMS SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI WITHOUT REGARD TO ITS CONFLICTS OF LAWS RULES. The parties irrevocably submit and consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the First Judicial District of Hinds County, Mississippi and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi.
