Governor Haley Barbour
is commending legislators
for realizing that state
agencies can't keep
a business as usual
approach. With that
in mind, the governor
says he has no problem
with the freeze on hiring
and on purchasing new
equipment for the state,
which passed in the
House of Representatives
last Friday. The governor
says this is the second
year in a row the house
