  Today is election day in Hinds County's State Senate District 29. In November, Democrat DeWayne Thomas had the most votes, but questions about some of the ballots led to a special election called for today by the senate. • A new office at the state department of education is focused on helping promote a healthy lifestyle among the state's public school students
  The office of healthy schools will combine the education department's existing health related resources. It will focus on a child's lifestyle at home, in addition to fitness and nutrition. Deputy state superintendent of education John Jordan says the office was created with the help of a 600 thousand dollar grant from the Bower Foundation. (0:13)
