Off shore drilling
legislation measures
approved
Differences between
House and Senate measures
will have to be settled,
but both chambers of
the Mississippi Legislature
have approved legislation
to set the stage for
allowing gas leases
on state property off
shore in the Gulf of
Mexico with the money
to go to education.
Representative Steve
Holland got one amendment
to the measure to re-establish
a Mineral Lease Commission
commission of state
officials to manage
