  • Ways and Means Committee to hear Mayo tax plan
    State Representative John Mayo of Clarksdale plans to present his proposal to raise taxes on cigarets and alcoholic beverages as well as gaming and to add a new high income bracket for the state income taxes during a meeting tomorrow of the House Ways and Means Committee. Representative Mayo says he has had positive responses since revealing his proposed tax increases. (0:33)
