  • Teacher organizations praise House legislation
    The Mississippi House has voted for a two billion dollar measure to fund most kindergarten through twelfth grade education needs for the coming year. The bill includes a teacher pay raise and the President of the Mississippi American Federation of Teachers, Maryann Graczyk is pleased with the result. (0:25)

  • Governor Barbour explains Medicaid planned recertifications
    Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour believes it will improve the Medicaid program to establish procedures to re certify all who benefit from that program. The governor spoke to a health and safety summit coordinated by Mississippi State University in Jackson and explained the plan to make sure those who remain on Medicaid are eligible. (0:56)
