This is what it's all about - instead of your garden having solid azaleas or crape myrtles, plant blueberry shrubs (or a fig tree, or pomegranate bush, or...) for many years of delicious, nutritious, healthy fruit. And every year setting out transplants of tomatoes (or peppers, basil, okra, whatever) for a continuous harvest of home-grow goodness.
And it's never too late to get started!
This week's guests are Steve Bender, senior garden editor for Southern Living Magazine, and Jackson gardener Jim Powell, whose transcendent style makes things seem so easy.
