1703 GULF COAST SPECKLED TROUT FISHING
The Outdoors crew goes speckle trout fishing out of Waveland with Ted Reimann and Todd Shiyou. Two boats went out and had a good catch. Host, Melvin Tingle had previously gone out with Todd and they hardly caught a thing.
1703 SPACE DUCKS
As modern technology advances, so does our need to track the ever increasing duck population. The Mississippi Department of Wildlife is currently doing a study which tracks ducks with satellite telemetry and radio collars. Mississippi Outdoors is documenting the study in order to keep the public involved and better informed. Watch as we monitor ducks from the nesting grounds in Canada down the Mississippi Flyway to our home state. You can follow them as well via the internet!
1703 TURCOTTE SHOOTING RANGE
Mississippi Outdoors Hosts, Melvin Tingle and Janet Parker, try out the new shooting Range at Turcotte Lab with Mississippi Department of Wildlife Officer Steve Adcock and get a tour of the facility. Opening this year, the facility has a pistol, rifle, archery and a sporting clay range. This facility will be open to the public. For more on the Turcotte Shooting Range go to www.mdwfp.com.
1703 YOUTH DEER HUNT
Bya Pier in Copiah County the sight of this year's youth deer hunt, and what a hunt it was! At least seven youngsters harvested deer, including one young lady who took a nice deer with her father present. Join Mississippi Outdoors as we go on a hunt of-a-lifetime for several outstanding Outdoor kids!
