Dove Banding

MDWFP Officers Dave Godwin and Ricky Flint are researching doves. The dove population is something that many Mississippians are hoping will stay strong in the coming years. This research in Starkville is documenting where doves fly in the state and how long they live in their natural environment. The date will be instrumental in making sure that Mississippi has great dove hunting in the future.
