Opening weekend of youth deer season proves successful for several kids. The glory is not reserved for the guys either. One young lady brings in a great deer at a New Hebron hunting camp. Watch everything unfold as the Mississippi Outdoors cameras catch it all!

Bass Fishing at Sardis Lake

Join field host John Sullivan as he goes bass fishing on Sardis Lake. Chris Ross, the owner and manufacture of Bandit Lures, joins in with some interesting new lures that get the fish jumping. The fish seem to have a few tricks of their own and some don’t stay on the hook for long.

Bluetick Coon Dog Trials

Coon hunters from several states hit the woods after dark in Bienville National Forest near Morton. They try for the title of “top dog” as part of the Bluetick Coondog Trials. The treeing dogs bay into the night as the group tries to keep up.

Swallow Tail Kites

The Pascagoula River is home to many beautiful and rare species. Swallow Tail Kites are one of the leading species that locals hope to highlight in their quest to make Mississippi a naturalist's touring destination. Where do these birds come from? Where do they go? Why are they here in Mississippi and will they stay? We’ll take a look at these beautiful and graceful creatures.
