John C. Stennis Space Center is a unique federal
city in Hancock County. While it may not have
actual residents, it has 4000 people who work
there each day. We had fun at Stennis. There's
lots to see and do in the newly opened StenniSphere.
Miss Celestine Labat was born in Bay Saint
Louis in 1898 and still lives in the house
where she was born. In her life, she's seen
Creole culture on the
Mississippi Coast thrive and fade away. She tells a remarkable story.
As children, we sometimes want to grow up
to be cowboys. John Wayne Blough did -- and
then he made his dream come true. He lives
a cowboy
life on Hilltop
Painted Acres in Brandon.
Sometimes seeing things in different colors
helps us learn about them. Other times, looking
at things in simple black and white gives us
the clearest vision. ETV's Stanley Graham wrote
the poem "Walking in the Woods" and we interpreted
it in video.
Existing between the Gulf of Mexico and the
mainland, Horn Island is a 14 mile long stretch
of natural beauty. On Walt's Way, we explore
the endless beaches, blue waters, tidal lagoons
and sand dunes that make this place a treasure
for nature lovers.
