We have an extended edition of Mississippi
Roads this week. We bring you this special
show from
the Jackson Zoological Park.
Each
year over two hundred thousand visitors pass
through these gates as they visit this
beautiful
zoological park. In our first story, we take
you to another popular park in a river
city.
Walt explores the Vicksburg Military Park.
Actor
Morgan Freeman and attorney Bill Luckett have
teamed up in Clarksdale to open a new up-scale
dining experience called "Madidi" and also
a blues club, "Ground Zero" where live music
is played on a regular basis.
We follow
Jackson resident and Senior Olympian Olive
Kendall as she travels to Baton Rouge to
compete for
the gold in the 2001 Senior Olympics.
Judge
Alfred G. Nicols, Jr. rules his federal courtroom
with an iron fist. But when it comes to his
art; the judge has a feather like touch with
his paintbrushes on the canvas.
In our
next story we meet Jill and Fred Lusk of Wiggins.
They operate Lazy L Farms, which is an exotic
animal sanctuary, that takes in abused and unwanted
animals. Their farm has turned into a zoo of
sorts.
Walt
shares his fascination with old barns that are
scattered around our Mississippi landscape,
on this weeks edition of Walt's Way.
