Joseph T. Giambrone, was taken by his sister the day he was inducted into the U.S. Army at the Selective Service office in Raymond, Mississippi, in 1944. He was eighteen years old and had just graduated from high school. He served in the 18th Mechanized Cavalry Reconnaissance Squadron in Europe. My father is on the right

Here is a picture of my father, Joseph T. Giambrone, taken while he was in training at Camp Wheeler, Georgia. My father is on the left, on the right was my father's friend George Howell of Utica, Mississippi. My father was from Bolton, Mississippi.
