About Everlasting: Life and Legacy of Medgar Evers

MPB is proud to announce Everlasting: Life and Legacy of Medgar Evers, premiering exclusively on MPB Television. The documentary explores the life, leadership, and lasting influence of civil rights leader Medgar Evers, who was assassinated outside his Jackson home in 1963.

Directed by Taiwo Gaynor, the film traces Evers’ journey from Decatur, Mississippi, to becoming the state’s first NAACP field secretary. Through archival footage, interviews, and personal stories from family members, Everlasting examines his fight for justice, the sacrifices he made, and the enduring impact of his legacy on Mississippi and the nation.
