The Cat in the Hat Knows a Lot About the Skeletal System, and so do Northwood Village after-school students thanks to a lesson about the skeletal system.  Students enjoyed an afternoon filled with fun games and hands on activities focusing on the skeletal system.

Students were actively engaged during the afternoon from learning that the smallest bone in your body is found in your ear, to learning that there are 27 bones in your hand.  Activities included a read aloud of “The Cat in the Hat: Inside Your Outside!”, a science trivia game that included fun facts about the skeletal system and completing a fun science craft of creating an x-ray of their hands.

This project is funded by a Ready To Learn grant provided by the Department of Education to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
