Then we take a short walk over to the Mississippi Children’s Museum, where they offer an exciting, new and interactive approach to learning. The museum fosters a creative learning environment and engages children while teaching them about engineering, geography, and biology. It’s 40,000 square feet of fun, with around 20,000 square feet of exhibit space designed around five themes of Mississippi heritage, health and nutrition, literacy, cultural arts, and science and technology.

And finally, we unearth an amazing find on a fossil hunt. Record low levels on the Mississippi River uncovered some sandbars that were ripe for discovery. Our crew tagged along with  George Phillips, the Paleontology Curator at the Natural Science Museum and happened to stumble upon a pretty amazing find. You’ll have to tune into see just what it was!
