"Be brave and be yourself," were the five words that Councilman Priester used to motivate the students on their second day of Can I Kick It? Youth Media Institute. The students were encouraged to use their critical thinking skills, and also learned what it takes to be a leader. Students ended the day by creating a storyboard and a script for their individual group projects.
On the third day the students put the finishing touches on their storyboards and turned in their final scripts. The special guest speakers were Marshall Ramsey and Felix Anderson.
Tommorow the students will move into the next stage of the program in which they will learn about video and sound equipment.
