Mississippi Public Broadcasting’s annual summer learning event went virtual this year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, families were invited to participate in a week of fun virtual learning during MPB’s Summer Learning Family Fun Week 2020 held June 21-27. The event this year was extra special because MPB celebrates its 50th Anniversary.

Each day participating families were invited to join us in hands-on activities designed to keep students excited about reading and learning and to help prevent summer learning loss. In addition to the daily hands-on activities, families also enjoyed a live Ed Said concert, story time with Terrance “Da Story Weaver” Roberts, an art workshop on making a “Groovy Summer Journal”, and a music workshop by Mississippi Teacher of the Year, Hannah Gadd Ardrey

Families that registered received participation prize packets. If you missed any of the sessions, you and your family can still enjoy the events and activities by visiting Summer Learning Family Fun Week's web page.
