A man accused of killing six people in Clay County on Saturday has pleaded not guilty to 11 felony charges and was denied bond.

Daricka Moore, 24, faces three counts of capital murder, three counts of first-degree murder, murder of a child, attempted sexual battery, two counts of motor vehicle theft and burglary.

Circuit Court Judge James Kitchens denied bond because the case involves a capital charge under state law. Kitchens also ordered a mental health evaluation for Moore.

Authorities said three of Moore’s relatives were killed at the first location: his father, Glenn Moore, 67; his uncle, Willie Guines, 55; and his brother, Quinten Moore, 33. At a second location, 7-year-old Mikiylia Guines was killed. Police said her mother and sisters were home, and a sexual assault was attempted there. At a third location, pastor Barry Bradley, 63, and his brother Samuel Bradley, 61, were killed.

Moore was arrested Saturday. District Attorney Scott Colom said prosecutors will seek the death penalty. Investigators are still working to determine a motive.

During Monday’s arraignment, Moore was escorted past reporters. When asked by WTVA why he killed six people, he responded, “It was 13.”

The United Way of the Golden Triangle region is accepting donations for the family of the child killed in the shootings. All donations will go directly to the family.

A trial date has not been set.
