Throughout this year's legislative session, we've been keeping an eye on plans for a teacher pay raise. The state Senate and House have both put forth bills that would raise salaries of most Mississippi educators by multiple thousands of dollars per year. But right now, the House bill is parked in committee in the Senate, and the Senate bill is parked in committee in the House. If neither advances by today's deadline, they'll both be dead.
