The MPB news team has won 3 regional Edward R Murrow awards for hard news, feature and digital reporting.

The Radio Television Digital News Association has been honoring outstanding achievements in electronic journalism with the Edward R. Murrow Awards since 1971. Award recipients demonstrate the spirit of excellence that Murrow set as a standard for the profession of electronic journalism.

MPB News director, Teresa Collier says she’s humbled that her team’s work is recognized as among the best.

“This past year has been difficult on all of us, especially for many in the Mississippi community we cover.  And through it all, the MPB News team produced some extraordinary journalism telling the stories of our fellow Mississippians--their pain, grief, and triumph. These awards further show how dedicated we are to providing MPB’s statewide audience with reliable, thorough, and meaningful news coverage.”

These are the winning stories.
