Today MSDH is reporting an additional 1,116 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 9 deaths, occurring between October 3 and October 15. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 109,255, with 3,160 deaths. NOTE: A COVID-19 related death previously reported in Adams County has been removed pending further investigation.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 46 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities and 2 deaths. There are currently 128 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
