MSDH reports 1,168 new cases of COVID-19, 52 new deaths

Today, MSDH is reporting an additional 1,168 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 52 deaths. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 58,747, with 1,663 deaths.

Today's cases included 33 among residents in long-term care facilities, and 23 resident deaths. There are now 201 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).

Currently there are 989 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection, and 240 more with suspected COVID-19.
