The Mississippi State Department of Health is reporting an additional 1,500 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 19 deaths. Eleven deaths occurred between November 7 and December 6, and eight deaths occurred between December 10 and December 12, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 179,447, with 4,199 deaths.
There are 218 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
