Today MSDH is reporting an additional 1,972 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 15 deaths occurring between November 13 and November 20. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases for the year now stands at 142,401, with 3,657 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 42 new cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and 3 deaths. There are currently 173 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
