MSDH is reporting an additional 216 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 12 deaths. Two deaths occurred on April 14, and 10 deaths occurred between August 28 and April 9, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 308,737, with 7,139 deaths.
MSDH has identified one additional case in residents of long-term care facilities among cases already reported. There are currently 19 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
