MSDH is reporting an additional 288 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 19 deaths. Seven deaths occurred between February 26 and March 29, and 12 occurred between July 31, 2020, and March 16, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 305,146, with 7,032 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified one additional case in residents of long-term care facilities, and 4 deaths. There are currently 14 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
