MSDH is reporting an additional 292 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 14 deaths. Eight deaths occurred between April 5 and April 16, and six deaths occurred between December 12 and April 10, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 309,029, with 7,153 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified 3 additional cases in residents of long-term care facilities, and 1 death. There are currently 19 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
