MSDH is reporting an additional 306 cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 21 deaths. Five deaths occurred between March 16 and March 21, and 16 occurred between December 30 and March 18, identified from death certificate reports. Mississippi's total of COVID-19 cases now stands at 303,238, with 6,977 deaths.
Among cases and deaths already reported, MSDH has identified no new cases in residents of long-term care facilities and no additional deaths. There are currently 30 ongoing outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities.
